The use of any videotaping or sound recording equipment without written permission from the administration is prohibited in all Juilliard performance spaces. The use of tripods, extension cords, microphone stands or any such devices is strictly forbidden. Arrangements to audio or video record these concerts should be made through the recording department.
The Pre-College allows the parents (and only the parents) to record their own child’s performance. If you wish to do so, you must sign the release form available in the Pre-College Office or by clicking here. Tripods, extension cords, microphone stands or any such devices are still strictly forbidden. Flash photography during the performance is also prohibited.
To arrange for an audio (CD) or video (DVD) recording, contact the Juilliard Recording Department at (212) 799-5000 ext. 284, Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.
Students must pay for the recording BEFORE the recital, or else the recital will not be recorded.
It is solely the student’s responsibility to contact the recording department at least two weeks in advance for recordings of recitals. Requests made after the 2 week deadline will not be accommodated.
